A Clinical Study on Oral Contraceptive, Gestoden

Abstract
|
|
|
The Gestoden is one of the new oral contraceptives characterized by extremely low doses of estrogenic and progestational constituents - 0.03 mg ethinyloestradial and 0.075 mg gestoden per tablet. This study covers general patterns of acceptance of gestoden of 513 acceptors. Observed during 2185-cycles, from Feb. 1987 to Oct. 1987.
All cases were selected from the women registered 9 institutions in.Kbrea. 1. The majority of acceptors were 25-28 year-old women.
2. The 1-2 living children were 77 percent. And having no experience of abortion rate was 42.7 percent. 3. The spotting was 2 percent, Nausea was 1.7 percent, and gestrointestinal disturbances rate was 4.4 percent.
4. The complaints were uncommon and no serious consequences were observed.
The side effects or complaints were notable during early cycle and gradually diminishing spontaneously thereafter.
No unplanned pregnancey was reported.
